Smarter Data Faster - Even With The Lights Off

Data experts Alchemetrics have today been able to issue a reassuring announcement to their clients following the installation of a world class power centre only hours before a widespread power cut in Wokingham, where the company is based.

The new technology, including a diesel generator and double-skinned uninterruptible power supplies (UPS) means that every one of Alchemetrics’ servers containing client databases is protected against power failure; a service enhancement which could not be more timely in light of the ‘current’ situation in the area. The investment means that despite the lack of mains power Alchemetrics’ clients will experience uninterrupted access to their databases, avoiding the situation experienced by Equifax last week when its services were down for a number of hours.

Francis Wallinger, managing director of Alchemetrics comments: “The addition of this technology was something that we have been planning to ensure that we can offer the best possible services to our clients at all times. The fact that our investment has been proved worthwhile so quickly is testament to the need for these precautions and we are de‘lighted’ that they have worked so well. Reports of me spotted at the site with a large pair of cable cutters cannot be proved!”
